In European folklore, a deformed or imbecilic offspring of fairies or elves substituted by them surreptitiously for a human infant. According to legend, the abducted human children are given to the devil or used to strengthen fairy stock. The return of the original child may be effected by making the changeling laugh or by torturing it".
The plot
A Human child, stoled from his family, brutally tortured by fairies... Used in unspeakable cruel games. That's Leinad.
Daniel ignore everything from his inhuman origin. His life is his brother and sister... Everything he has, his family.
The writing
Sometimes it's confusing... But both men are not the post boys for mental sanity. They will talk to you, confusing you, angering you... Breaking your heart.
Do I recommend it?
I really don't know how to answer this question.
Yes, but don't expect a fairy tale with talking birds and cute bunnies... If there was a bunny it would be skinned alive by Leinad.
Oh, I kid you not! It's true... Give a bunny to Leinad and you will see...
And I can't give less than 5 stars even if the end really got my by surprise (not more crying bunny, you got my point no?)... Sad and lovely story... Read it, and keep bunnies away from Leinad (he is really a sicko!)
